was worried they included an old 2nd generation battery. I looked at reviews and almost ordered the one without the battery because I didn't want the old battery. I want all the 3rd generation ones with the fuel gauge. I ordered mine in August 2024 and mine came with a 3rd generation one with a fuel gauge on the battery. I guess FOUKUS wanted to get rid of old 2nd generation batteries and included them with this combo unit, but I was happy that mine was a new package and I got the latest 3rd generation battery with bars that show me how much charge I have left. I've also used it and trimmed small branches and bushes, and it works perfectly. Definitely buy the one with the included battery. Little to no noise, great cut!

It's worth it! Warning: Plug in the battery and start cutting, and before I knew it, I had a whole day of cleanup ahead of me. How many power cords have I cut over the years? Dragging the cord behind me and making sure it's out of the way… DON'T! This is a great cutter. Lots of power. I cut for about three hours and still had 3/4 of a battery charge left. So convenient! No gas cans, no cut cords, long range, and lightweight. Worth every penny.

Absolutely fantastic hedge trimmer! The 24 blades are perfect! I already had the FOUKUS self winding grass trimmer, and this hedge trimmer uses the same battery! I'm looking forward to tidying up my lawn! I'm an elderly great grandmother and can really use this hedge trimmer. If you've been hesitant about buying this hedge trimmer, don't hesitate any longer and order it!

FOUKUS hedge trimmer: The safety switch requires more pressure than I'd like to apply when maneuvering the hedge trimmer. It cuts well and, as advertised, cuts branches up to 2.5 cm long.
