However, if your grates are heavily soiled, like mine, you need to clean and soak them thoroughly beforehand. After that, the device is excellent for cleaning after grilling. But be VERY careful: The steam it produces cleans very well, but can cause burns. However, it really does keep the grates clean after grilling. Price: 4 stars. It's about 10 stars too expensive. Wait for a sale, then you can, of course, buy it. A tip: Keep a bucket of water handy after grilling. After removing the food from the grill and while the grill is still hot, briefly dip the grate in the water and wipe it down. Perfect!

It works great! I'm surprised how well it works. I've only had it for a short time, so we'll see how practical it is and how well it works with repeated use, but it looks very promising. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because of the price.
