Good for non-professional cooks. Replaced an older unit that was hard to read and poked items in the drawer when storing. Pros: reads quickly, large numbers, foldable probe a plus for storage. Cons: numbers are upside down for us left-handed people, lighting on numbers doesn't stay on for long

Works great. It quickly shows the temperature of meat or fish. I found it easy to use. I am very particular about the temperature as I don't want it to cook too long or too short and this works.
